At the southernmost segment of the Traverse City to Charlevoix Trail, the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund announced a $300,000 grant award to Acme Township for the Acme Connector Trail. This significant milestone will help keep Acme on track to connect the TART Trail where it currently terminates at Bunker Hill Rd. to M-72, a key link in trail planning for the Acme-Elk Rapids Segment and the overall Traverse City to Charlevoix Trail. The Project Team is working with Acme township officials on next steps and closing the funding gap so that construction can begin in 2021.
