On May 3, a hearty group of community leaders, advocates and enthusiasts came out to break ground for the trail connection in Acme–no bad weather could stop us!

Team Elmer’s is now busy constructing the new trail extension north of Bunker Hill Rd. that will connect to local parks, neighborhoods, and businesses. Their crew is already hard at work on the Acme Connector project. A vast majority of the trail corridor has been cleared, earthwork is currently underway in several parts of the trail, as well as preparation work for boardwalk and bridge sections.

Stay tuned throughout the summer on construction progress, and look forward to celebrating with a ribbon cutting in the fall.
